A day studying the short story using stories with Christmas themes. Discussion will include setting, point of view, narrative structure, the imagination, dialogue, weather, and character development. This course should be of interest to anyone who reads, writes, edits, teaches or is interested in short fiction.
Please note that all proceeds from this event will be donated to the Brumby Safari Supporters, a foundation which rescues, trains and rehomes wild horses in Queensland.
Fees for this course are due (by cash or cheque) on the day — but bookings must be made in advance, as places are limited. Cheques must be made out to

The texts for this course will be chosen and forwarded to all participants in mid-November.
Signed copies of Claire Keegan’s books will also be available on the day.
